Competition clothing
Competitors wear a white Budokaido uniform (top and trousers), clean and tidy. No logo, kanji, belt, gi or lettering other than the logo, kanji or lettering representing the Budokaido branch of the Wushu Kung Fu Federation may be worn on the uniform. Corner colours are Red and White; every competitor competes with their own protective equipment. Apart from the Red helmet and White helmet that show the corner colour, all protective equipment of both corners must be white.
Protective equipment (by category)
A competitor who comes to the tatami with missing equipment (only the mouthguard is optional) is given one minute; if the equipment is not completed within that time, the bout is lost by forfeit.
Identity documents
Athletes must present their passport at weigh-in. A licence visa is not required.
Weigh-in
The weigh-in is a check weigh-in with no weight tolerance: the athlete must be within the weight range of the category they compete in. Only the Federation Representative, the appointed referees and the appointed doctor may enter the weigh-in rooms. Weigh-in and registration take place at the times given in the programme; nothing is processed after the closing time.
Draw
The draw is made by computer. Bouts are single elimination; an athlete who is eliminated does not compete in a second bout.
Medals and trophies
The first three athletes (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in each category receive a medal and a trophy.
Coaches
Female athletes are accompanied to the tatami by female coaches, male athletes by male coaches.
Protests
Protests are made to the appointed Protest Committee and may concern scoring only; the result of a bout cannot be protested. A protest is made in writing by the country's official coach, with video footage that shows the whole bout from every angle and a protest fee of 200 EUR. Protests made after the bout's time limit and end, or with missing documents or footage, are not accepted. If the protest is upheld the fee is refunded; otherwise the money is handed over to the officials of the Wushu Kung Fu Federation against a signed record.
